One often sees dozens of balloons released into flight, but who can recall seeing them all explode or fall? Juxtaposed with the funereal/melancholic tone I'm sensing in the left image, it seems to suggest less that the balloons will float on forever than they will drift along aimlessly before they chance to collide with one another, or before they fall to some unforgiving branch. I notice first the imposing ceiling in the left image, I notice the stark decoration second. I am assuming that the group are watching home videos, though on the first viewing, it looked more to me like an image within an image of a cloudy day. Are they in a basement? What are they watching?
In a day or two, after everyone's had a chance to see it, please ruin the mystery for us - I should like to know what uninteresting event could yield such curious images.
