On the last day of November two thousand ten, I arrived in San Francisco at 3 am, slept in the back of a sports utility vehicle with three others, awoke at 7:30 am, drove to a coffee shop, and spent the rest of the day experiencing. Went back to sleep at 1 am, only to wake up again at 3am for a 14 hour drive to Portland, Oregon.

Perhaps more of a travelogue than a proper sequence, some images from last fall at the only major national park with free admission, (a beckon to any amateurs looking to plump up their portfolio) Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This is truly unique, very old country that makes it near impossible to capture anything mediocre — these required nary a bead of sweat from my own brow, rather from my tools'.
