The photographs in "There's No Modern Age..." appear to take place away from your home, except the first, which I recognize as a development tract near your house (I would call it your "home" but it seems you have no such sentimental attachment to a place you would shoot, with such remove, to evoke the eerieness I see in photos 5 and 6 from "...From Which..."). Those two in particular remind me of the interior of the "Overlook." And what I thought was a fireplace in 5 actually is a white trapezoid above some cabinets. That trapezoid is lit with ghostly precision by the light source above it. Is that the only source of light in the photograph?

The black stain on the right wall of the winding corridor in photo 11 of "There's No...," is that the stain you were telling me about? That photograph especially radiates urban decay, as do the shots of the parking lot, the bridge, and the dimly lit hallway of what looks like a parking garage. Alienation.

The title of these pieces lead me to believe you find no comfort in the more bucolic settings in "...From Which..." (3, 9, 10,).
